After a journey that has taken too long, I learned some things about photography and camera’s:
- The best camera is the one you’ve got with you (attributed to Ansel Adams)
- Your camera doesn’t matter (much) (Ken Rockwell)
My photographs would have been much better when I would have learned this at my twelfth, in stead of at my thirty-fourth. I’ve owned some camera’s; point and shoots from the sixties, an automatic SLR from the eighties and two digital point and shoots. At this moment they’re mostly collecting dust. In stead I’m using the camera in my phone. It’s good enough™ and I’ve got it with me always.
Hoi Sander, zo is het maar net!
